Natural Reef Habitats creations are much more beneficial that imported container rock. When a company decides to mine and import live rock, all of the rocks are dead on arrival. In the aquarist hobby, we call this container rock.
Now, while all of the beneficial bacteria have died off, both their organic leftovers and malevolent bacteria remain on the rock. Many fish stores have to then cure the container rock and even after an extensive curing process, the container rock is not fully cured. And if left unchecked in a marine tank, a small handful of malevolent agents could get out of control and wreck the entire system.
Natural Reef Habitats cut through this entire process by creating the habitats within the U.S. There are not unwanted, malevolent bacteria or hitchhikers on our habitats. Our handcrafted habitats made from aragonite quickly blend into existing marine systems with no harmful effects.
